Introduction To The Working Form Of Stainless Steel Gate Valve
The stainless steel gate valve controls the opening and closing of the valve by lifting and lowering the gate. The gate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. Changing the relative position between the gate and the valve seat can change the size of the channel, which is used to cut off or connect the medium in the pipeline. By selecting different materials, the stainless steel gate valve can be applied to a variety of media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, strong oxidizing media and urea. There are manual, bevel gear transmission and electric, etc.
Introduction to the working form of stainless steel gate valve
The opening and closing of stainless steel gate valves is more labor-saving. The fluid resistance is small, and the sealing surface is less eroded and eroded by the medium. The flow direction of the medium is not restricted, and there is no disturbance or pressure reduction. The shape is simple, the manufacturing process is good, and the application range is wide. It has good shearing effect and is suitable for difficult-to-control fluids such as slurry, powder, granular material, fiber, etc. It is widely used in papermaking, petrochemical, mining, drainage, food and other industries. There are a variety of valve seats to choose from, and it can be equipped with electric or pneumatic actuators according to on-site control requirements to realize the automatic operation of the valve.
When the stainless steel gate valve is opened, when the gate lift height is equal to 1:1 times the valve diameter, the fluid passage is completely unblocked, but this position cannot be monitored during operation. In actual use, the top of the valve stem is used as a mark, that is, the position where it cannot be opened, as its fully open position. In order to consider the locking phenomenon caused by temperature changes, it is usually opened to the top position and then backed up 1/2-1 circle as the fully open valve position. Therefore, the fully open position of the stainless steel gate valve is determined by the position of the gate (i.e. the stroke).
For some stainless steel gate valves, the valve stem nut is set on the gate, and the handwheel rotates to drive the valve stem to rotate, so that the gate is lifted. This valve is called a rotating stem gate valve or a dark stem gate valve.
